The Glass

Dichroic glass is a speciality product designed by NASA for the space programme. Discovered by the art and crafts industry, the glass is now used in numerous forms to create stunning individual pieces.

The glass is cut to shape, fused in a kiln to a high temperature, cooled and annealed over long periods, ground to shape and then re-fired to a high polish.

Each piece of glass can transmit and reflect several colours, therefore making it notoriously difficult to photograph and impossible to capture the full beauty of each piece.
